Welcome to the District 5 Region of the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs!
We are a dedicated group of volunteers representing 20 clubs that operate 2,256 km of trails throughout Southwestern Ontario.
On average, our members sell close to 10,000 trail permits annually. A total of 24 groomer units keep our trails smooth and operate for an average of 5,263 hours throughout the season.
Our Mandate:
OFSC District 5 is dedicated to assisting our clubs in providing, establishing and maintaining quality snowmobile trails, and supporting our committed volunteers in all of their endeavours to further the enjoyment of organized snowmobiling.
“District 5 is the hub of the Southwestern Ontario trail system, comprised mostly of farmers’ fields and bush. The farmers are our greatest asset because without them, we would not have the vast trail system we are so proud of. There is always beautiful scenery when you are on these trails. Right after a fresh winter snowfall, the trees are glistening with heavy snow and the sunlight is reflecting like diamonds.
Our trails are not the “highways” you experience in the north. Our trails are more for leisure and enjoyment of the ride. All trails pass by a warming station or club house where many a great story has been exchanged. The enjoyment of our trails in District 5 are numerous and we are more than willing to invite anyone who has never experienced the pleasures of southern riding to come on down and give us a weekend to show you some of the best sledding in Ontario!”
